# Microphone Tester Check that your microphone works — see a live input-level meter and waveform react to your voice. Nothing is recorded or uploaded; the audio never leaves your device. ### How it works After you grant access with `getUserMedia`, the microphone signal is fed into a Web Audio `AnalyserNode`. The meter shows the current loudness (RMS) and the canvas draws the live waveform, so you can confirm your mic is picking up sound and roughly how loud.
