# PDF Splitter_

Split, extract, or reorder PDF pages entirely in your browser — no uploads, no server. Click pages to select, enter ranges, or chop every N pages. Download each piece as a standalone PDF.

**Drop a PDF** or click to choose

PDF only · processed locally · never uploaded

Enter one range per line. Each line becomes a separate PDF. Use `1-5` for a range, `3` for a single page, or `1-3,5,8-10` for mixed.

Split the PDF into equal chunks. The last chunk may be smaller if the total is not divisible.

## How to use it

**Custom selection** — click any page thumbnail to include it in your output; click again to deselect. The quick-select box accepts the same range syntax as the By Range mode. When you’re happy, click *Extract* to download a single PDF containing your chosen pages in the order they appear in the original.

**By range** — type one range per line (e.g. `1-5`, then `6-10`). Each line produces a separate PDF download. Useful for splitting a report into chapters or separating a merged scan into individual documents.

**Every N pages** — enter a chunk size and the tool automatically divides the document into equal pieces. Handy for splitting a large scanned book or a batch of forms.

All processing uses [pdf-lib](https://pdf-lib.js.org) for extraction and [PDF.js](https://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/) for thumbnail rendering — two open-source libraries that run entirely in your browser. Your file is never sent to any server.
