Download **SVG** for print, large signage, or anywhere it may be scaled up: it's vector, so it stays perfectly crisp at any size. Keep a **quiet zone** (the plain margin) around the code — scanners need it, which is why it's on by default. ### Scan safely A QR code hides its destination until it's scanned, so only make codes that point where you say they do. Before scanning a code from a poster, email, or any unexpected place, preview the link first — attackers use lookalike QR codes ("quishing") to send people to fake login and payment pages.
