Hyperlinking Policy

Effective: 1 June 2026 Last updated: 1 June 2026 Version: 1.0

This policy explains who may link to our Sites, how links should and should not be used, and how we handle outbound links to third-party destinations.

§ 01

Overview

This hyperlinking policy governs all inbound links (links from third-party websites to OCXLY sites) and outbound links (links from OCXLY sites to third-party destinations). It applies to all websites operated by OCXLY and its sub-divisions, including ocxly.com, osoftly.com, cxneuro.com, bookstair.com, and ocxlydev.site (collectively, the "Sites").

By linking to our Sites, you agree to comply with this policy. We reserve the right to revoke linking permission at any time and for any reason.

§ 02

Who May Link to Us

The following organisations and individuals may link to our Sites without prior written approval, provided they comply with the conditions in Section 3:

  • Government agencies and departments.
  • Accredited educational institutions (universities, colleges, schools).
  • Search engines and web directories.
  • News organisations and online media outlets.
  • Registered charities and non-profit organisations.
  • Bloggers, reviewers, and individual content creators (non-commercial personal sites).
  • System-wide accredited businesses and industry associations.

All other organisations — including commercial businesses, marketing agencies, and aggregator services — must request approval before linking. See Section 4.

§ 03

Automatic Approval Conditions

Organisations listed in Section 2 may link to our Sites without prior approval provided all of the following conditions are met:

  • The link is not misleading, deceptive, or presented in a false context.
  • The link does not falsely imply sponsorship, endorsement, or approval by OCXLY.
  • The link fits within the context of the linking party's content (e.g., an article about AI technology may link to ocxly.com).
  • The linking site does not contain content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, offensive, or infringes any intellectual property rights.
  • The link opens in a new window or tab (preferred) or navigates directly — it does not load our content inside a frame on the linking site.
  • The linking party does not use our logo or brand assets as the link anchor unless expressly permitted under our Trademark Disclosure.
§ 04

Approval Required

The following entities must obtain written approval before linking to our Sites:

  • Commercial businesses linking for promotional or advertising purposes.
  • Marketing, PR, and SEO agencies linking on behalf of clients.
  • Content aggregators, RSS republishers, and news scrapers.
  • Any entity wishing to use the OCXLY logo as a link anchor.
  • Any entity wishing to frame, embed, or inline our content within their site.

To request approval, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Hyperlinking Request" and include:

  • Your name, organisation, and website URL.
  • The specific OCXLY page(s) you wish to link to.
  • The context in which the link will appear.
  • Whether you intend to use our logo or brand assets.

We will respond within fourteen (14) business days. Approval may be granted, denied, or granted with conditions.

§ 05

Deep Linking

Deep linking — linking directly to a specific page, section, or resource on our Sites rather than the homepage — is generally permitted, subject to the same conditions as homepage linking (Section 3).

  • You may link to any publicly accessible URL on our Sites.
  • We do not guarantee that specific URLs will remain available indefinitely. URLs may change as we reorganise our Sites.
  • If a URL changes, we will make reasonable efforts to implement redirects, but we are not obligated to maintain permanent redirects for all URLs.
  • Linking to pages that require authentication, are behind access controls, or are intended for limited audiences is prohibited.
§ 06

Framing & Embedding

Framing (displaying OCXLY pages within a frame or iframe on another site) and embedding (inline embedding of OCXLY content) are prohibited without prior written consent.

  • You may not display our Sites or any portion of our content within a frameset, iframe, or similar technology that obscures our URL, navigation, or branding.
  • You may not embed our pages, articles, or tools in another website in a way that presents them as part of your own content.
  • Embedding of specific OCXLY widgets, APIs, or tools is permitted only where we explicitly provide an embed code or integration method for that purpose.

We may implement technical measures (e.g., X-Frame-Options, Content-Security-Policy headers) to prevent framing.

§ 07

Hot-Linking (Inline Linking)

Hot-linking — directly referencing images, scripts, stylesheets, fonts, or other assets hosted on our servers from your website — is strictly prohibited.

  • Do not use our server as a CDN for your content. Each hot-linked asset consumes our bandwidth and server resources.
  • Do not reference our images via <img src="https://ocxly.com/..."> or equivalent on your site.
  • Do not link to our CSS, JavaScript, font files, or media files from your pages.
  • We may implement hot-link protection that blocks or replaces hot-linked assets without notice.

If you wish to use an OCXLY image or asset, download it (with permission) and host it on your own infrastructure, with proper attribution per our Copyright Notice.

§ 08

Link Appearance & Anchor Text

8.1 Text links

When linking to our Sites with text, use clear, accurate anchor text. Acceptable examples:

  • "Visit OCXLY" or "Learn more at ocxly.com"
  • "OCXLY AI Labs" (when linking to osoftly.com)
  • The title of a specific article or page

Do not use misleading anchor text that misrepresents the destination or implies content that does not exist on our Sites.

8.2 Logo links

Using the OCXLY logo as a link anchor requires prior written permission, except in cases of nominative fair use as described in our Trademark Disclosure. If permission is granted, you must use the official logo files provided by us and comply with our visual identity guidelines.

8.3 Link attributes

We recommend the following attributes on all inbound links:

  • target="_blank" — opens our site in a new tab (preferred but not required).
  • rel="noopener noreferrer" — for security and privacy (prevents our site from accessing the linking page's window object).
  • If the link is sponsored or paid, include rel="sponsored" per Google's guidelines.
  • If the link is user-generated content, include rel="ugc".
§ 09

Prohibited Linking Practices

The following linking practices are strictly prohibited:

  • Linking from any site that contains illegal, defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory content.
  • Linking in a way that falsely implies endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership with OCXLY.
  • Linking as part of a link scheme, link farm, private blog network (PBN), or any form of manipulative SEO.
  • Cloaking, redirecting, or obfuscating links to make the destination URL appear different from the actual target.
  • Using our links in unsolicited emails, spam, or bulk messaging.
  • Injecting links to OCXLY into third-party websites without the site owner's knowledge (e.g., via comment spam, forum spam, or hacked sites).
  • Using OCXLY trademarks in paid search advertisements (Google Ads, Bing Ads) without permission.
  • Creating "mirror" or "clone" sites that replicate our content and link structure.
§ 10

Outbound Links from OCXLY

Our Sites contain links to third-party websites, services, and resources. These outbound links are provided for your convenience and do not constitute endorsement.

  • We review outbound links at the time of publication but cannot guarantee they will remain accurate, safe, or available over time.
  • We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of linked third-party sites.
  • Third-party sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
  • If you discover a broken or inappropriate outbound link on our Sites, please report it to [email protected].

For full third-party disclaimer, see our Disclaimer, Section 7.

§ 11

Affiliate Links

Some outbound links on our Sites are affiliate links. When you click on an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

  • Affiliate links are disclosed in accordance with FTC guidelines and local equivalents. See our Disclaimer, Sections 8–9.
  • We participate in the Amazon Associates Programme. Amazon links may contain tracking parameters.
  • Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial recommendations.
  • We use rel="sponsored noopener" on affiliate links to comply with search engine guidelines.
§ 12

API & Programmatic Access

Automated or programmatic access to our Sites — including via scripts, bots, crawlers, or API calls — is subject to the following rules:

  • Respect our robots.txt file. It defines which paths may and may not be crawled.
  • Do not crawl our Sites at a rate that could impair performance for human visitors. A maximum of one request per second is recommended for any automated client.
  • Do not scrape, harvest, or systematically download content for redistribution, database creation, or AI/ML training without a written licence agreement.
  • If we offer a public API, use it according to its documentation and rate limits. Reverse-engineering private APIs or internal endpoints is prohibited.
  • Identify your bot with a descriptive User-Agent string that includes your organisation name and a contact URL or email.
§ 13

Search Engines & Crawlers

Recognised search engines (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yandex, Baidu, and equivalent) may crawl and index our Sites in accordance with our robots.txt directives and any meta-level instructions (e.g., noindex, nofollow).

  • Search engine crawlers are welcome to index all publicly accessible pages unless specifically blocked in robots.txt.
  • Search engines may display snippets, thumbnails, and cached copies of our content in search results in accordance with standard search engine practice and applicable law.
  • AI-focused crawlers (used for training large language models or generative AI systems) must respect our robots.txt directives. Where we block AI training crawlers (e.g., via GPTBot, CCBot, Google-Extended directives), that block must be honoured.
§ 14

Link Removal Requests

If you find any link on our Sites that is offensive, inappropriate, or that you believe infringes your rights, you may request its removal by contacting us at [email protected].

We will review all removal requests and, if appropriate, remove the link within a reasonable timeframe. We are not obligated to respond to every request or to remove every link that is complained about — removal is at our discretion, subject to applicable law.

Conversely, if you have linked to our Sites and we request that you remove the link, you agree to do so promptly upon receipt of our written request.

§ 15

Right to Revoke

OCXLY reserves the right to revoke any linking permission — whether granted automatically under Section 3 or explicitly under Section 4 — at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice. Upon revocation, you must remove all links to our Sites promptly.

Reasons we may revoke permission include, but are not limited to:

  • The linking site has changed its content in a way that violates this policy.
  • The link is being used in a misleading or harmful context.
  • The linking site is associated with spam, fraud, or illegal activity.
  • The link negatively impacts our brand reputation.
  • Legal or regulatory requirements.
§ 16

Liability

We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any content accessible via links on or to our Sites.

  • We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of inbound or outbound links.
  • We are not liable for the content, privacy practices, or security of any third-party site linked from our Sites.
  • Linking to our Sites does not create any legal relationship between us and the linking party beyond the terms of this policy.

For full liability terms, see our Terms & Conditions, Section 12.

§ 17

Changes to This Policy

We may update this hyperlinking policy at any time. Changes become effective upon posting with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued linking to our Sites after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
