How it works
This uses the browser’s built-in Web Speech API (SpeechRecognition). You’ll be asked for microphone permission the first time. It works best in Chrome and Edge; some browsers route the audio through an online recognition service, so treat it as a convenience demo rather than a private, offline transcriber. Nothing is stored by this page — the transcript lives only in the box above until you clear it.
