How it works

This uses the browser’s native Web Speech API (speechSynthesis) — there is no server, no API key and nothing is uploaded. The available voices come from your own operating system, so the list and quality differ between devices. Great for proofreading, for readers who take text in better by ear, or for resting your eyes.
